Burt, of this city Monday afternoon about 1 o'clock. She was in her 83rd year and would have been 83 in January next. She was the widow of the late E. R. Burt, who died about nineteen years ago.
Mrs. Burt was reared in Russell and Macon counties, but for many years has resided in Bullock. She is survived by five children, who are as follows: J. R. Burt, of Indian Territory, B. W. and J. W. Burt of this city, Mrs. M. M. Biggers and Mrs. Edd Jenkins, of Montgomery.
Mrs. Burt was a member of the Methodist Church and had been connected with that denomination from early youth. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence and were conducted by Rev. H. W. Rice. Internment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.
