Wiley D. PARKER, son of Warren PARKER and Hannah WEST, was born on 30 January 1862 in Bibb County, Alabama.1 He never married.
His mother died on 3 October 1865 in Bibb County, Alabama, when Wiley was 3. After the death of Hannah, and that of Warren soon afterward, their children, all being minors, were taken in by Hannah's sister, Isabella, and her husband, John Babb, in Corinth, Mississippi. Only Catherine, who had already married, did not go with them.2
Wiley D. PARKER died on 24 September 1947 in Corinth, Mississippi, at age 85.1
His mother died on 3 October 1865 in Bibb County, Alabama, when Wiley was 3. Dr. Joshua WEST was born in 1771 in Rockingham County, Virginia.1
Joshua married Hannah Prentice in 1793 in Virginia.2,3
Dr. Joshua WEST moved from Virginia to Sevier County, Tennessee, 1794 then to Shelby County, Alabama in 1816. He lived the remainer of his life in Shelby County except for a few years at Centreville in Bibb County.3 He was employed as the first licensed minister in the Bibb County area, and a practicing Methodist preacher for 67 years. He was also a licensed physician.1
