The household was listed as Warren Parker, a 37 year old farmer, born Tennessee, and his wife, Hannah Parker, 38, born Alabama. He had real estate valued $500 and personal estate valued $676. Also in the household were inferred chidren, all born Alabama: Rufus, 11; Elizabeth, 8, Mary, 6; John, 3 and William, 1. They were living next to Elisha Cottingham II.
On 3 October 1865 Hannah died in Bibb County, Alabama, at age 43. After the death of Hannah, and that of Warren soon afterward, their children, all being minors, were taken in by Hannah's sister, Isabella, and her husband, John Babb, in Corinth, Mississippi. Only Catherine, who had already married, did not go with them.5
