     Richard B. NEVILL, son of Osmond J. NEVILL and Sally BURT, was born on 17 March 1819 in Halifax County, North Carolina.

He was probably the male age 20 to 30 listed in the household of his father, Osmond J. NEVILL, in the 1840 Federal Census of 39th Regiment, Morgan County, Alabama, He would have been 21 years old.¹

Richard B. NEVILL appeared on a census, enumerated 21 March 1850, in the household of his parents Osmond J. NEVILL and Sally BURT in 10th Division, Morgan County, Alabama. He was listed as Richard Nevill, a 31 year old farmer, born in North Carolina.²

Richard B. NEVILL died on 5 July 1878 in Trinity, Morgan County, Alabama, at age 59.³ He was buried in Minor Cemetery, Trinity, Morgan County, Alabama.

     James Augustus NEVILL, son of Osmond J. NEVILL and Sally BURT, was born on 20 March 1832 in Alabama.

James married first Alabama Van Buren High on 9 November 1851 in Lawrence County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth High. Akabana and James had four children: Allin, Vinkley, Robbert and Charles.³

James married Ophelia A King on 30 September 1869 in Morgan County, Alabama. Ophelia was the daughter of Charles Lewis King and Sarah Moseley Patrick. Ophelia and James had six children: Richard, Maggie. James, Horace, Sarah and Rayburn.⁴

James Augustus NEVILL died on 28 August 1904 in Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama, at age 72.⁵ He was buried in Neville Cemetery, Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama.
