Funeral services for Mrs. J.S. Marks, a former resident of Albany, who died at her home at Montgomery, were conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Central Methodist Church by the pastor, Rev. J.C. Persinger and were attended by a large number of friends.
Mrs. Marks was the mother of Mrs. E.L. Raney, who, together with her daughters, Misses Marjorie and Lillian Raney, arrived from Chicago to attend the funeral. Her husband, a widely known Methodist minister, died some years ago. Other surviving relatives who attended the services were two daughters, Mrs. J.F. Halsey and Mrs. F.J. Ford, of Montgomery; a son, R.O. Marks of Shreveport, and a grandson, T.G. James, of Sharkey, Miss.
Interment will take place this afternoon at City Cemetery.

The body will lie in state from 3-4 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Baptist Church. Rev. Nelson Bullard, Rev. J.E. Johnson and Rev. Z.R. Carpenter will conduct the rites. Burial will be in the city cemetery, Brown's directing.
Mr. Neville was a machinist with the L & N railroad prior to his retirement a few years ago. He was born and reared in Trinity and was an active member of the Baptist Church there.
Surviving are the wife; one daughter, Mrs. William A. Ellner, Decatur; one son, Cecil King Neville, Evansville, Ind; two brothers, Raybourne Neville, Trinity and Dr. James P. Neville, Okema, Okla, and a number of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Claude McBride, Bob Ferguson, John B. Sewell, John Lile, Sam Lile and Roy McCaig.1
