Thomas B. BURT, son of William C. BURT and Rebecca M. FINNEY, was born on 23 December 1834. His tombstone gives death date as 16 Sep 1835 with notation that he was age 8 months 23 days. Date of birth was calculated from that information.1

According to a description of the Minor Cemetery in Trinity, Morgan county, Alabama where Thomas B. Burt and Osmund Nevill are buried, "this was the family cemetery of Dr William Tompkins Minor and Frances Thacker Washington Minor. Dr Minor purchased the home place from William C. Burt & his wife, Rebecca Finney Burt." It is now located on the grounds of the Nucor Steel Hot Mill.2
