     Lula M. Jacks was born on 5 May 1876 in Coosa County, Alabama, the daughter of John Albert Jacks and Caroline Hardigree.

Lula married Henry Lewis Webb, son of Margaret S. Tatum, on 18 February 1892 in Troup County, Georgia.1

Henry died on 1 November 1894 in near Little Mortar Creek, Autauga County, Alabama, at age 26 leaving Lula M. Webb as a widow.

Lula married James Thomas HUNT, son of Thomas Brown HUNT and Mary Jane NIXON, on 15 November 1896 in Prattville, Alabama. She was the widow of Henry Lewis Webb who had been murdered in 1894.2

Lula M. Jacks and James Thomas HUNT appeared as head of household on a census enumerated 28 June 1900 in Liberty Beat, Autauga County, Alabama. The household was listed as James T. Hunt, 25, a farmer, born January 1875; Lula W. Hunt, 24, born May 1872; Thomas M. Hunt (son), 2, born September 1897; Louis H. Webb (stepson), 7, born 1893; and John W. Webb (stepson), 5, born January 1895. James and Lula had been married three years and she was the mother of three children, all living.3

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 26, 2005, from Deer Park Baptist Church, at 11 a.m. Interment followed in Carolina Memorial Park, J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Greenridge Road Chapel directing. Born February 7, 1908, in Pine Level, Mr. Hunt was the son of the late James Thomas and Lula Jacks Webb Hunt. He was retired from Westvaco where he was employed as a machinist. Mr. Hunt was also a member of Deer Park Baptist Church and a member of the Machinist Union and a Master Mason. Surviving Mr. Hunt are a son, Andrew Conrad and Pat Hunt, of Prattville; two daughters, Dorothy H. Hill, of North Charleston, S.C., and Frances H. and Jimmy Bath, of Goose Creek, S.C; nine grandchildren, Zachary Hunt, Nathan Hunt, Adrian Hunt, Jay Duet, Amy Wyatt, Allison H. Cook, Glenn Hill, Rhonda Bath and Laurie Swack; and seventeen great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deer Park Baptist Church, 8875 University Blvd., North Charleston, S.C. 29406."1

Annie Maria Vann

     Annie Maria Vann was born on 25 January 1852.1

Annie married William Marshall Burt II, son of William Marshall BURT I and Amanda D. Booth, on 21 November 1872 in Salem, Russell County, Alabama. According to the 25 Dec 1872 of the Southern Christian Advocate the wedding took place at the residence of the bride's father.1

The home of Annie and "Judge Burt," as he was affectionately known, was the stopping place for "drummers" and others seeking overnight accommodations in Pittsview, and the place was sometimes referred to as the "Burts Hotel." "Miss Annia" was known far and wide for her fine food.

Annie Maria Vann died on 11 January 1926 in Pittsview, Russell County, Alabama, at age 73.1 She was buried in Pittsview Cemetery.

Cloud yesterday morning came as a great shock to the people of Prattville, and throughout Autauga County. His death occured about 7:30 in his office located in the rear of the Prattville Mercantile Company... James Ross Cloud was born in Texas on November 15th, 1883. He was brought to Autauga County by his parents when only three years of age and has since made Prattville his home... Surviving are the widow, who was before her marriage, Miss Fannie Murphree, of Troy; two sons, James, of Prattville, and Bert, of Anniston, and one daughter, Mrs. Cecil Stokes, of Anniston. Funeral services were held from the home this afternoon. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery with Speigner in charge..."2
