     Thomas Wesley MARSHALL, son of Pendleton Jones MARSHALL and Nancy BARRETT, was born on 3 August 1848 in Pike County, Georgia.

Thomas began military service at age 15 on 1 April 1864 in Georgia as a private in company C, Blount's Georgia Battalion of Georgia Reserve Cavalry. He served until the end of the war. His widow, Ida (Norris) Marshall applied for his pension 12 Feb 1912 in Fort Payne, Dekalb county, Alabama.1

Thomas Wesley MARSHALL died on 18 July 1910 at Confederate Veterans Home in Mountain Creek, Chilton County, Alabama, at age 61.2 He was buried in Confederate Memorial Park Cemetery #1, Mountain Creek, Chilton County, Alabama.
