Hutchinson, 61, born North Carolina.

Clarissa married John Franklin Hiram Gibson on 3 June 1846 in Sumter County, Alabama.

The Gibsons first settled in Anderson County, Texas and were there on the 1860 census. John was 42 years old and Catherine was 43. They said there that they married within the year, which is not true. They then settled in Henderson County, Texas where they appear in 1870. John does not appear in the 1880 census so he must have died before then.

     Agatha P. ABNEY, daughter of Nathaniel ABNEY Jr. and Eleanor Boulware, was born on 12 August 1820.

Sara married Benjamin James Germany on 1 August 1900 in Mississippi. He was first married to Sara's sister, Nancy Ella Abney, who had died in April.²

Aaron married Cornelia Adeline Jackson on 9 September 1869 in Elbert County, Georgia. Cornelia was a widow, listed on the marriage license as Mrs. Cornelia Adeline Hulme. She and Aaron were the parents of six children: William Isham, Martin Jackson, Oscar, Laura P., Thomas and William Aaron.³

     Susannah Elvira ABNEY, daughter of James Wiley ABNEY and Eleanor Ward HAILEY, was born on 5 July 1835 in Elbert County, Georgia.¹

Susannah married James T. Rucker on 27 June 1861 in Elbert County, Georgia. He was the son of Peter W. and Mary Hailey Rucker. James and Susannah had five children: Emily, William, Frances, George and Isham.²

     Joel B. ABNEY, son of James D. ABNEY and Tabitha Towles, was born on 6 September 1809 in Edgefield County, South Carolina.^1,2

Joel married Elizabeth Holebrook on 13 September 1831 in Marion County, Georgia. Joel had moved from Edgefield County, South Carolina to Meriweither County, Georgia between 1820 and 1830. By 1850 he had moved his family to Mississippi.³

Joel B. ABNEY and Elizabeth Holebrook appeared as head of household on a census enumerated 1860 in Slate Springs, Calhoun County, Mississippi. The household was listed as Joel and Elizabeth Abney, their daughter Caroline Cooper and her children Mary, George, Emmaline and Elephar (Elizabeth?). In 1870 only his wife, Elizabeth, and George Cooper appear in the household with Joel.³

Joel B. ABNEY died on 21 February 1881 in Calhoun County, Mississippi, at age 71.^1,2 He was buried in Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery, Pittsboro, Calhoun County, Mississippi.²

     Elizabeth Holebrook was born in 1812 in Tennessee.¹

Elizabeth married Joel B. ABNEY, son of James D. ABNEY and Tabitha Towles, on 13 September 1831 in Marion County, Georgia. Joel had moved from Edgefield County, South Carolina to Meriweither County, Georgia between 1820 and 1830. By 1850 he had moved his family to Mississippi.²
