Clark, age 12, in school; George F. Clark, age 10, in school; Augustus A. Clark, age 8, in school; Alfred O. Clark, age 5 and Edward H. Clark, 6 months old. All of the children were born in Mississippi. Also in the household were Mary Waters, age 16 and Glycerian Waters, female, age 14, both born in Mississippi. Their connection is unknown, but as John was buried in the Waters Cemetery there is likely a family connection. Note: Glycerian is buried in the Waters Cemetery, but listed as Glycerian Clark (16 Jul 1835 - 22 Aug 1854), daughter of John and Lydia (sic). Possibly they were children of a prior marriage of John and an unknown Waters.

Walker, a 45 year old widow and planter, with real estate valued $19,000 and personal estate $40,000, born in Mississippi. Was this Lydia after the death of Thompson in November, or did she live in a separate home? On the census page Thompson and Lydia were household 608 and L. M. household 610. Also in the household were her children from her prior marriage: George Clark, a 20 year old student; Andrew Clark, age 16 and Edward Clark, age 12; all born in Mississippi. Clark, a 25 year old farmer, his wife and two children. That was probably her son who was listed in 1850 as Alfred O. Clark, age 5.
She appeared on a census, enumerated 19 June 1880, in the household of her brother John A. Swayze in Midway, Yazoo County, Mississippi. John A. Swayze, a 50 year old farmer and his wife, Sallie A.
