Nancy SPRAGGINS died between 1806 and 1809 in South Carolina.

She was named an heir in the will of Nathaniel ABNEY dated 29 July 1806 in Edgefield County, South Carolina. "My four granddaughters Tabitha Atkinson, Isabelle, Nancy and Sally Spraggins, to be considered as one of my children." Both Isabella and Nancy died prior to 1809 and their father, William Spraggins, who would by law be entttled to their shares, petitioned the court asking that the money go to Tabitha and Sarah.1

Martha married Capt. William SPRAGGINS Jr., son of William SPRAGGINS Sr. and Martha ABNEY, circa 1794 in South Carolina.

Martha (Gooch?) died in 1825.

She was named an heir in the will of Capt. William SPRAGGINS Jr. dated 23 October 1821 in Abbeville District, South Carolina. To her he left all his estate, both real and personal, to her during her natural life or widowhood. If she should remarry she would receive one third of the estate during his lifetime and upon her death it would revert back to the estate.1

     William SPRAGGINS, son of Capt. William SPRAGGINS Jr. and Martha (Gooch?), was born on 18 December 1798 in Edgefield County, South Carolina.

William SPRAGGINS moved from South Carolina to Pickens County, Alabama, 1819.

He was named an heir in the will of Capt. William SPRAGGINS Jr. dated 23 October 1821 in Abbeville District, South Carolina. To his beloved son William Spraggins, "now living in Alabama", he left one Negro boy, Tom. He also left him an equal share of the remaining estate with his three other children: Tabitha Atkinson, Sarah Meek and Thomas Spraggins.1

William SPRAGGINS died on 24 January 1860 in Pickens County, Alabama, at age 61.

Thomas Atkinson, John ABNEY, Azariah ABNEY, Austin Pollard Eskridge, Joel P. ABNEY, Sarah (ABNEY) Carson and Dr. John Bolger were listed as heirs receiving payments from the estate of Nathaniel ABNEY 19 January 1810 in Edgefield County, South Carolina. He received $436..97 as husband of Tabitha Spraggins, one of the granddaughters listed in the will.1

Thomas Atkinson died in 1859.
